$410 Million Tax

A $410 million dollar tax is being voted on this November 2nd. The tax is being put forth by the Savannah Chatham County Board of Education. This tax is a penny sales tax put on every dollar spent in Chatham County for the next 5 years. This kind of tax is called a Education Special Tax. Voters will decide on Tuesday, November 2nd whether or not this tax will be in place for the next 5 years on all the citizens of Savannah and Chatham County.
